Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform an annealing machine operation to accurately track a welded line by a method wherein magnetic marks are formed in the direction of an electro- unite tube, and the marks are used by a detector downstream to find welded zone displacement, and the detector signal is used for the purpose. CONSTITUTION:An electro-unite tube 1 is welded at point WP. At the same time, marks are formed magnetically, using a mark magnetization coil 20. Burr of welded zone 3 is scraped off by a cutter 4, and annealing machines 5a-5c anneal the zone. Distortion of the pipe 1 due to welding heat causes displacement on the welded line 3. To let the annealing machines 5a-5c to follow this distortion to provide effective annealing, the magnetic marks are detected by a mark detector 19 and are stored. Outputs from the detector coils 13a, 13b of a welded zone detector 6 are brought into an adder amplifier 16. Output from which goes into the first processor circuit 17, output from which, together with output from the second processor circuit, enters a calculator circuit 15. This sends control signals X1-X3 to the annealing machines 5a-5c, so that these machines accurately track the welded line 3, effecting welded zone annealing.
