Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the title photosensitive material having superior electrostatic characteristics such as satic charge retentivity, superior printing resistance, etc. by adding an organic silver salt, a halide and a reducing agent having a specified structure to an insulating binder having specific resistance enough to retain static charge.
CONSTITUTION: To about 0.02W20pts.wt. of an insulating binder such as gelatin or polyvinyl alcohol having specific resistance enough to retain static charge are added 1 part of an organic silver salt such as silver stearate or silver palmitate, an inorganic halide such as cadmium chloride or nickel bromide or an organic halide such as carbon tetrachloride or chloroform preferably in an amt. of 10-1W10-5mol per mol of the silver salt, and a compound of formula I (where n=10W20), e.g. the compound of formula II as a reducing agent preferably together with a reducing agent such as hydroquinone in an amt. of about 1W10-4mol per mol of the silver salt. Thus, the desired photosensitive material is obtained.
