Abstract

CONSTITUTION: According to the maximum value or minimum value of the detection output of titania type sensor Rθ, temperature information about exhaust gas is obtained and on the basis of this information, the gain of variable gain amplifier VGA is controlled to make an exponential function center value, between the maximum and minimum of the detection output of sensor Rθ, agree with a reference voltage applied to comparator CPo via voltage-dividing resistance Rc. Therefore, an influence of the temperature of the detection output of sensor Rθ is compensated to detect the excess and insufficiency of oxygen in the exhaust gas corresponding to the maximum and minimum of the detection output, and an air fuel ratio can be detected through the oxygen concentration detection of the titania type sensor which provides the temperature compensation easily and securely.
