Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a maximal efficiency of a geothermal turbine plant, by controlling the ratio of the amount of exhaust steam discharged from high-pressure turbine section to that of exhaust steam discharged from low-pressure turbine section to approach to 1 : 1, throough employment of an arrangement in which exhaust steam from the high-pressure turbine section is introduced into a low vacuum condenser and exhaust steam from the low-pressure turbine section is introduced into a high-vacuum condenser for condensation therein.
CONSTITUTION: Turbine 30 includes a low-pressure turbine section 31 and a high- pressure turbine section 32. The high-pressure turbine section 32 comprises the first section 33 whose steam chamber is communicated to that of low-pressure turbine section 31 and the second section 34 having a common turbine shaft as the first section 33 but having an independent steam chamber. A portion of high-pressure steam supplied from inlet 14 is introduced into the first section 33 and the remainder is introduced into the second section 34. Hihg-pressure steam expanded in section 33 is mixed with steam supplied from low-pressure steam inlet 16 and continues expansion in turbine section 31. Exhaust steam discharged from section 31 is delivered to high-vacuum condenser 17. On the other hand, steam supplied to the second section 34 of turbine section 32 is expanded only within its own space and the exhaust steam is delivered to low-pressure condenser 18.
