Abstract

PURPOSE:To control powder feed amount and automatically control the weight of moldings by electrically detecting and counting abnormal weight moldings, estimating the weight characteristics of population and moving a weight rail up and down. CONSTITUTION:In a rotary tablet making machine or the like, compressive load is detected with a load-electricity converter 16 every time when the compression molding of the powder material in a mortar 2 is accomplished by way of upper and lower rolls 5, 6. This signal is amplified and its maximum value is inputted to a setter 19 via peak value holding circuit 18. When this detected load exceeds the weight threshold, this is outputted to an abnormal weight molding counter 20 which in turn counts this and at the same time, the signal output from the setter 19 causes a sampling counter 21 to operate and accept the clock pulses from a pulse generator 22, thereby starting continuous counting. When this count exceeds a set value, a signal is outputted to a gate circuit 23, through which the control signal is outputted to a timer 24. A drive motor 15 operates by the time having been set in the timer 24 to move an elevating rail 7 up or down, thereby changing the position of the lower rod 6. The power feed amount to the mortar 2 is thereby controlled.
