Abstract

PURPOSE: A releasable self-adhesive composition which is useful for releasable self-adhesive sheet or tape and of an improved anchoring power against paper and plastic films and which is obtained by adding an amphoteric surfactant to an emulsion-type self-adhesive.
CONSTITUTION: An amphoteric surfactant of glycine, alanine, betaine, imidazoline type, etc., is added to an anionic and/or nonionic emulsion-type self-adhesive containing a copolymer having a Tg point of 0°C or less which is necessary for retaining its good adhesive property. The preferred emulsifiers used in polymerization include anionic emulsifiers, e.g., layryl alcohol sulfate, sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate, etc., and nonionic emulsifiers, e.g., polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, polyoxyethylene fatty acid esters, etc.
