Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled adhesive having improved initial tackiness and adhesiveness, and comprising a copolymer in which the carboxyl groups of a copolymer consisting of a monomer containing a carboxyl group, a specific acrylic ester, etc. are neutralized and a hydrophilic compound as main components.
CONSTITUTION: The titled adhesive comprising (A) a copolymer in which the carboxyl groups of a copolymer consisting of 10W40mol% monomer containing a COOH group, e.g. acrylic acid, 60W90mol% a≥4C acrylic or methacrylic ester, e.g. butyl acrylate, and 0W20mol% other monomers, e.g. methyl acrylate, are neutralized with a base, preferably amino propanol, and (B) a hydrophilic compound expressed by the formula (R1 is 1W4C alkyl; R2 is 2W4C alkylene; R3 is H, 1W4C alkyl or acetyl; (n) is an integer 1W6) as main components. The amount of the component (B) is preferably 5W200wt% based on the component (A).
USE: A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape and a pressure-sensitive adhesive label e.g. for sealing or labeling.
