Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently and highly remove BOD, by combining reverse osmotic film separation and activated sludge treatment with each other to dispose of high-BOD waste water resulting from fermentation, brewing or the like.
CONSTITUTION: A high-BOD waste liquid is conducted to a film separator equipped with a reverse osmotic film whose NaCl blocking percentage is about 90% or more. The waste liquid is concentrated by the separator. The liquid passed through the film is conveyed to an activated sludge treatment vessel so that the liquid is treated under ordinary conditions. This method can be applied to waste water resulting from processing of various food or marine product. BOD and COD can be highly removed by the method.
