Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently and economically collect high-resistance dusts, by separating the dusts from a liquid and spraying the dusts together with an aqueous solution into a contaminated gas at the inlet port of a dust collector.
CONSTITUTION: A contaminated gas 4 is conducted from the inlet port 1A of a gas passage to particle charger 2 and then conducted to dust collecting electrodes 3 through another gas passage so that a cleaned gas 5 is picked out through an outlet port 1B. An aqueous solution 9 circulated on the surface of the grounded electrode of the particle charger 2 is conducted to a dust separation vessel 10. Sludge separated by the vessel 10 is conducted into the contaminated gas such as exhaust gas at the inlet port 1A of the gas passage through a loop passage 12 and sprayed by a nozzle 14. The sludge sprayed into the inlet port 1A by the nozzle is dried by the sensible heat of the contaminated gas and conducted to the dust collecting electrodes 3 through the gas passage 1 so that dusts are efficiently collected by the parallel flat plate type dust collecting electrodes.
