Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the approximate measurement of an apparatus for measuring an electric circuit and inspect various items upon application of standard signal to a circuit to be measured by so constructing the apparatus as to distinguish the electric state of a portion to be measured according to sound.
CONSTITUTION: A detecting circuit 2 having a detection pointer 1 detects the voltage level of a circuit to be measured to detect whether the electric state of the circuit is high or low level and whethre the circuit produces single pulse or pulse strain. When the circuit is, for example, high level, a NAND gate is opened with the output from an oscillator circuit 3 and the inhibit output from a monostable multivibrator 5 as a pulse expanding circuit, and a speaker 15 thus produces a sound of oscillating frequency f1 of the circuit 3. When the circuit is, for example, low level, the speaker 15 produces a sound of oscillating frequency f2 of an oscillator circuit 4. When the circuit produces a single pulse or a pulse train, the speaker produces sounds of frequencies f1, f2 as designated in Figs. B and C. On the other hand, the circuit 3 is so formed that the output therefrom may be produced from an external terminal SG. With the circuit 3 used as a standard signal generator various measurements may be conducted by detecting the output of desired portion to be measured upon application of the standard signal to the circuit to be measured.
