PURPOSE: To provide a easy requlation for the torque characteristic of a salient pole synchronous motor in the high speed domain by a method wherein the thickness of a magnetic collar inserted between a magnetic pole head and a field winding is adjusted during the starting characteristic regulation is performed.
CONSTITUTION: A head 1 and a body 2 of a salient magnetic pole of rotor for a salient pole synchronous motor 1 are made separately, both parts are connected with a bolt 3, and the upper and lower insulating collars 5 and 6 are fixed on the upper and lower surfaces of a field winding 4. A ferromagnetic collar 7 made of iron, etc. is inserted between the pole head 1 and the upper insulating collar 5.
