Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the inverse withstand voltage of a rotary rectifier by a method wherein the pole center of certain phase of the armature on an exciter, the center of a main magnetic pole, the pole center of the magnetic field on the exciter and certain pole center of the motor side armature 3-phase winding are all coincided with. CONSTITUTION:The pole center of certain phase of the armature of the exciter, having the rotary rectifier 5 of a 3-phase half-wave rectifier, and the center of the main magnetic pole 10 located on the motor-generator body are coincided with each other, and the starting high-tension magnetic winding 7, the pole position of a steady-state self-exciting magnetic winding 8 and the pole position of certain phase of the motor side armature winding 11 on the motor-generator are all arranged in a coincided state. Through these procedures, as the pulsating current of the output of the rectifier to be applied to the rotary rectifier 5 will be dropped to the minimum level when the position of the main magnetic winding 10 is just located at the maximum point of the composite magnetic field of the two windings where a current is applied to the motor side armature winding 11 wherein the maximum voltage is induced, the maximum value of the composite inverse voltage to be applied to the rotary rectifier 5 can be suppressed.
