Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain ternary distortion output easily by a simple constitution by inputting a signal, applied to an auto-transformer, to parallel biased diodes opposite in direction via its center tap. CONSTITUTION:Between input terminal 11 and output terminal 12 of auto-transformer 13, resistance 14 with a resistance value twice that of a characteristic impedance is provided and between center tap C of transformer 13 and the earth, resistance 15 with a resistance value a half that of the characteristic impedance is also interposed. Here, a signal outputted from terminal 11 to point C is passed through choke coil 23 and bias resistance 22 by way of DC stopping capacitor 16 to flow a current from DC power terminal 21, so that it will be inputted to biased diodes 17 and 18. As a result, ternary distortion is generated and outputted from terminal 12, so that the simple constitution can easily obtain the ternary distortion output.
