Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a aluminum alloy cladding material with excellent cathode anti-corrosion effect comprising Ca; 0.02W3wt% and a balance of Al and ordinary impurities.
CONSTITUTION: This aluminum alloy cladding material is prepared by adjusting a calcium content to be contained in Al ground metal containing ordinary impurities to 0.02W3wt%. This cladding material lowers electric potential of aluminum alloy as a conventional cladding material containing zinc and shows sufficent sacrificial anodic action as well as vapor pressure thereof is fairly low compared to zinc and, in case of conventional vacuum brazing, the said material is not evaporated as a zinc containing cladding material and it's sacrificial anodic function is not lost as well as an excellent cathode anti-corrosion effect is shown after vacuum brazing. Moreover, in case of brazing, a vacuum furnace is not polluted.
