Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve safety by imparting anti-dazzling effect to lenses through controlling of a photo sensitive element.
CONSTITUTION: A photo sensitive element 1 is mounted together with a control amplifier part 2 consisting of semiconductor integrated circuits, battery 4, solar battery 4' and power switch 5 to a spectacle frame 6. The quantity of light in the viewing direction is detected by the photo sensitive element 1 and the voltage corresponding to the intensity thereof is sent out from the control amplifier part 2 and is applied to the liquid crystals injected into the lens 3 so that the anti-dazzling effect is provided in a stepless manner. Thereby, the adequate change in the anti- dazzling amount by the quantity of light in the viewing direction is automatically given to the lenses 3 within several tens of seconds in correspondence to the change in the environment where the user uses the spectacles, thus the eyes' fatigue and the occurrence of such a situtation wherein the user is temporarily put in a dangerous state are prevented.
