Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate stretching startup by taking up tube under friction force between tube and roll caused by tube's internal pressure after adjusting the clearance between take-up nip rolls and gas-sealing nip roll of equal speed.
CONSTITUTION: Tube material is caused to run at a prearranged position by closing nip rolls 2, 4 and opening nip roll 5 by a prearranged clearance. Roll 4 is turned at a slightly faster speed compared to the circumferential velocity of roll 2 so that roll 4 may provide tension to the tube material heating part and roll 5 is set at the same speed as roll 4. Tube material is cut right after roll 5 and connected to connector for gas sealing 6. Gas valve of the connector 6 is opened and at the same time, gas is sealed into the elongation part by opening take-up roll 4. The circumferential velocity of rolls 4, 5 is caused to be increased gradually against roll 2. When sufficient gas is sealed, rolls 4, 5 are closed to stop gas sealing and the connector 6 is removed. In this way, grooved roll is no longer required by virtue of friction force between the roll and tube material being utilized and stretching startup is facilitated.
