Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the axial dimension by employing a flat commutator.
CONSTITUTION: Commutator chip 12 is provided at one side of commutator base while the spark distinguishing element 13 is provided at the opposite side, and the soldering of coil ends is performed by utilizing the space 14 between the risers led out from said commutator chips. Since the solder isn't built up at the outside of commutator chips 12, 13, the increase of axial dimension at the flat commutator due to the built-up of the solder can be eliminated resulting in the reduction of the size.
