Abstract

PURPOSE: To vary an oscillation frequency, and also to obtain a highly-stable oscillation output from an oscillator circuit using an electromechanical vibrator by obtaining frequency servo operation by applying the output voltage of a voltage control oscillator to the input terminal of the vibrator via a frequency converter.
CONSTITUTION: The oscillation circuit using electromechanical vibrator EMV of the three-terminal type is provided with phase detector PD which detects a phase difference across this vibrator EMV and voltage control oscillator VCO whose oscillation frequency is controlled by the output voltage of detector PD by being supplied via LPF with the output of detector PD. In addition, frequency converter CON is provided which applies the received output of this oscillator VCO to both vibrator EMV and phase detector PD, thereby constituting the oscillation circuit. Further, the conversion coefficient of converter CON is varied to vary the oscillation frequen- cy of oscillator VCO, and the oscillation output voltage of oscillator VCO is used as output voltage VOUT of the oscillation circuit.
