Abstract

The oscillator is of the type with inverter with complementary MOS transistors (T1, T2), a quartz resonator (Q) being connected in between the input and the output of the inverter. A current source (Sc1) is connected in series between the inverter and one pole of the supply and it is short-circuited in respect of the alternating signals by a capacitor (C3). The oscillator has a relatively low current consumption in normal operation, whilst guaranteeing that the condition of oscillation is fully satisfied. <IMAGE>
