Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare an analgesic, antiphlogistic agent free from bitter taste without lowering the dissolving rate of the effective component, by granulating a mixture composed of tiaramide, a hardened oil, and macrogol.
CONSTITUTION: Tiaramide of the formula or its salt (pref. hydrochloride), is suspended in a molten liquid composed of a hardened oil (pref. edible beef tallow hardened oil) and macrogol (pref. macrogol 6000), and the suspension is spray- dried to obtain the tiaramide preparation free from bitter taste. The weight ratio of the hardened oil to the macrogol is pref. 2-3 to 1. Addition of about 4% of a surface active agent, such as sorbitan fatty acid ester, to the suspension improves the stability of the suspension.
