Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture easily a long alloy flat plate which is excellent in lubricating property by causing the fine crystallization and dispersion of solute elements by continuously supplying and extruding A1-lead alloy powder solidified by rapid cooling by using an extruder in which the rear end of tubing is closed.
CONSTITUTION: The A1-lead alloy powder 8, prepared by a water-atomized method, is continuously supplied to the powder supplier 7 of an extruder in which the driving direction rear end of tubing is closed, then fed to the extruding die 9 provided at the rear end of tubing by the frictional force of the driving wall surface 3, and lastly extruded continuously into a plate form. The lead content of the A1 alloy is prescribed to 6 to 20 %. This method enables the metallic coherence of alloy powder by friction inside tubing, heat production by proessing, and extruding force, and also enables the enhancement of lubricating procperty by causing the fine crystallization and dispersion of great many lead solute into A1 at the time of solidification due to rapid cooling. The flat plate is applicable to flat bearing, etc., for automobile.
