Abstract
PURPOSE:To make developable the superior wettability when the material is brazed under forced cooling, by adding Ni, Sn and Si at specified percentage to the brass solder. COMPOSITION:The brazing filler alloy is constituted by weight percentage of 50.1-55.5% Cu, 4-12% Ni, 1-2% Sn, 0.1-0.3% Si, and the balance of Zn. EFFECT:When the thin steel sheet like as the outside plating of the automobile body, etc., is jointed by the brazing, the thermal deformation is prevented by removing the heat using the water cooled copper chiller, etc,; hereby, the wettability of the brazing filler metal decreases and the joint becomes imperfect. However, by employing above mentioned brazing filler alloy when the brazing work for the material is carried out under forced cooling, an excellently superior wettability can be developed. According to this method, the brazing work can be performed at good workability, obtaining high strength of the joint, and perventing the thermal deformation under the forced cooling.
