Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to generate normal index signals from an index detecting circuit, even with a failure in the index detection, by adding a counter and an OR circuit to the index detecting circuit.
CONSTITUTION: A counter 6 is a subtracting counter which is operative to count the number N of a servo-clock from an index to a subsequent index and is preset at an initial value N-1 in response to index detecting signals A so that is counts each servo-clock thereby to generate borrow signals C when it returns from 0 to N-1. The output of a NAND circuit 7 constitutes the logic sum of the index detecting signals A and the borrow signals C. By making the logic sum into the index signals, these signals can be generated under a normal condition even with a failure in the index detection.
