Abstract

PURPOSE: To generate arbitrarily sampling pulses for VIR signals from composite video signals by using a pulse oscillator which oscillates on a frequency five times as high as a horizontal period.
CONSTITUTION: Composite synchronizing signals are inputted to terminal 1, and vertical synchronizing signals are integrated. These signals are inputted to latch 3, and a pulse train is obtained from the latched output and the NAND output of composite synchronizing signals, and obtained pulses are ounted by counter 4. When the counting of the 21st pulse corresponding to the start time of the 16th horizontal period where VIR signals are inserted is stated, trigger pulse h is outputted to oscillator 5. Then oscillator 5 generates pulse i on a frequency five times as high as a horizontal period. This pulse i is counted by counter 6 to generate pulses j and k corresponding to the second and the third horizontal periods, where VIR signals are inserted, respectively from output j. Added output pulse l of these pulses becomes a color signal sampling pulse.
