Abstract
PURPOSE: To raise the reliablity of the quality of welded tube by controlling the high frequency a oscillating periodic variation width due to the periodic variation of the circuit shpe of metal to be welded within a predetermined range of set values in a high frequency welding.
CONSTITUTION: The high frequency welder, consisting primarily of the high pressure rectifier 2 by which to convert Ac voltage regulated by the AC voltage regulator 1 into DC voltage, the high pressure oscillator 3, and the output transformer 4, supplied high frequency current to the both edges of strip through the contact tip 5. The high frequency of the oscillator 3 is sent to the oscillating waveform detector 6 and the average periode calculator 7 to calculate the average value of periodic time t1 within a predetermined set time T1, then the variation in average periodic time every the predetermined set time T1 is watched within a set time T2 to calculate the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value as the variation width W for comparison with a set variation width of 2 to 22n sec, and then a power necessary for collecting a width out of the set value is calculated to send it to the primary power arithmetic portion 11. Afterwards, necessary power is sent to the AC voltage regulator 1 through the arithmetic amplifier 13 to control the primary power.
