Abstract
PURPOSE: To equalize the distribution of the concn. of liquid poison in a calandria tank, by reducing the quantity of heavy water flowing into a heavy water passage of a surrounding portion of an earthquake-proof plate by mounting a projected wall to a lower portion of the surrounding portion of the earthquake-proof plate adjacent to said heavy water passage at equal distances from a reactor core.
CONSTITUTION: A projected wall 8 is mounted onto the same concentric circle as a calandria tank 2 toward a vertical just under portion from a boundary portion of a surrounding portion adjacent to a heavy water passage 9 of a surrounding portion of an earthquake-proof plate 3. The lenght of the projected wall 8 is approx. same as the width of the heavy water passage 9, and the projected wall 8 prevents the inflow of heavy water 5 flowing in from the holes 13 of a control rod guide tube 6 to the heavy water passage 9 and increases the rate of heavy water 5 passing through the heavy water passages 4 of the earthquake-proof plate 3. Thus, the inequality of the distribution of the conc. of liquid poison in the calandria tank 2 can be prevented even if changing the concn. of liquid poison in heavy water 5.
