Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a low toxic anti-ulcer agent effective to peptic ulcer, e.g. gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, etc., containing an α-tocopherol derivative as an effective component.
CONSTITUTION: An anti-ulcer agent containing an α-tocopherol derivative of formula I [R is II (n is an integer; A,B are H, or A and B together form a bond.)], e.g. solanesyl acetic acid α-tocopheryl ester. It is administered orally or by intramuscular injection. Dose: 100-1000 mg, pref. 200-300 mg per day for adult.
