Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a low toxic anti-ulcer agent effective to the peptic ulcer such as gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, etc., containing an isoprenoid acetic acid derivative as an effective component.
CONSTITUTION: An anti-ulcer agent containing a derivative of acetic acid of formula (R1 is phytyl, solanesyl, decaprenyl; R2 is H, alkyl), e.g. decaprenyl acetic acid, as an effective component. It is pref. administered orally or by intramascular injection. Dose: 100-1000 mg, pref. 200-300 mg per day for adult.
