Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically control the concn. of a water sol. substance in a suspension contg. a water insol. substance as well as the sol. substance with good accuracy by measuring the refractive index of the suspension to detect the concn. of the sol. substance and controlling the amt. of the sol. substance supplied in accordance with the concn. to compensate masurning errors due to the temp. and flow rate of the suspension. CONSTITUTION:Electrodeposition vessel 1 is filled with electrodepositing liquid 2 contg. water sol. resin and water insol. resin, and liquid 2 is sucked with pump 4, filled into prism 5 for measuring refractive index, and refluxed to vessel 1. Prism 7 for measuring refractive index which is just the same to adjacent prism 5 is filled with standard liquid 8, and is refluxed to standard liqudi vessel 9. When the water sol. resin in liquid 2 is reduced, the refractive index of liquid 2 filled in prism 5 lowers and the quantity of light hit against photo sensor 16 is reduced. Accordingly, the resistance of sensor 16 is higher than that of photosensor 17 for measuring the standard liquid, and voltage generated in resistance R1 is lower than voltage generated in R2. This voltage difference is amplified 19 and sent to motor 21. Motor 21 is rotated to operate change lever 26, thereby supplying water sol. resin 27 to vessel 1.
