Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure the quantity of reflected light toward the opening direction of bottle mouths by having a light source which radiates oblate light from the lateral direction of the bottom mouth part to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:Light radiated from a light source 1 is made to an oblate ray by a slit 2. This ray passes through a bottom mouth 4, at which time the ray reflects in the opening direction of the bottom owing to mouth rust 5. Hence, from the quantity of this reflected light, the presence or not of the mouth rust may be inspected.
