Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the difference in air pressures occuring on both sides of diaphragm and protect the diaphragm by providing an air venting part between headphone unit body and ear pad or the headphone unit itself. CONSTITUTION:A soft air venting member 12 is provided on the entire circumference of the opening part 111 of a headphone unit body 11 and is bonded to an ear pad 13. While the user's ear is not in pressure contact with the ear pad 13, the air pressures between the spacing A encircled by the ear pad 13 and the internal spacing B of the body 11 are equal but when the user's ear makes pressure contact to the ear pad 13, the ear pad 13 and air venting member 12 are compressed in the arrow direction. At this time, the compressed air is flowed out to the outside through the air venting member 12 and therefore an increase in the air pressure of the spacing A will not occur.
