Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the function of the lateral transistor by forming the input protective circuit with the impedance element plus the 1st and 2nd insulator gate type transistors. CONSTITUTION:Resistive impedance R1 is connected to input terminal 10 corresponding to the terminal pad and the other end 11 is connected to the internal circuit. Insulator gate type field effect transistor Q1 is connected to the other end of R1, and one electrode of Q1 is connected to earth potential VSS. And 2nd insulator gate type field effect transistor Q2 is connected between the gate of Q1 and potential VSS, and fixed voltage VCC higher than the threshold voltage is applied to the gate. When OV and the positive voltage of the VCC level are applied to terminal 10, no effect of increment of the leak current is given to the normal input level owing to existence of the input protective circuit. In case the negative under-shoot pulse is applied to terminal 10, the potential change is reduced at terminal 11 in terms of both DC and AC.
