Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the arrangement of a circuit and operation, by using one automatic expansion valve for controlling the degree of superheat both as air cooling and heating, in a multi-connection type refrigerating plant produced by connecting a plurality of indoor units in parallel with one outdoor unit.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of indoor units (a), (b)..., which are connected in parallel with an outdoor unit (a) equipped with a compressor 1, a counter-air type outdoor coil 2 functioning as a condenser and an outdoor fan 12, are arranged in such a manner that the indoor units are provided with automatic expansion valves 3 for controlling the degree of superheat, 1st and 2nd indoor coils 4, 5, heat exchangers 6 and indoor fans 11. An upper chamber of a bellows 18 of the expansion valve 3 is formed as a pressure chamber 21 for transmitting the pressure of the refrigerant of a temp sensing cylinder 9, a control element, while the degree of the superheat of the expansion valve 3 can be adjusted high and low by interlocking the degree of superheat with the change-over operation of air cooling and dehumidification by turning an electric heater 10 ON-OFF, thus ensuring air cooling and dehumidification.
