Abstract
PURPOSE: To get an ultrasonic atomizer which is high in atomizing efficiency, low in fluctuation of atomization and superior in stability, by fitting a sonic lens on the ultrasonic irradiation axis of an ultrasonic vibrator so that its focusing point is close to the liquid level.
CONSTITUTION: This ultrasonic atomizer is equipped with an ultrasonic vibrator 1, atomizing tank 2, carrier air port 11, carrying tube 13, etc. A sonic lens 15 is placed through a support 14 above an ultrasonic irradiation port 3 or on the side of irradiation, being on the ultrasonic irradiation axis of the vibrator 1 so that its focusing point 16 comes close to the liquid level 6. Since the ultrasonic beams 4 irradiated by the vibrator into the liquid 5 are focused on the focusing point 16 and since the conical projection 17 formed on the liquid level 6 is small compared with a conventional liquid column, the atomizer can efficiently produce mist 10 stably.
