Abstract

PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing insulating caps in suitable forms and at low costs by making the cap elements in a dipping method on the moulds of specified dimensions and blowing them off the moulds with air blow.
CONSTITUTION: Before manufacturing, moulds 9 consisting of cylindrical parts 10 and flat parts 11 which are a little smaller than the dimensions of a terminal piece and a flat terminal part to be covered are prepared. Next, these moulds 9 are dipped into molten vinyl chloride liquid 12 following a dipping method, and vinyl chloride films 13 are formed over the moulds 9, then they are taken out, cooled and solidified in a water tank. Next, they are taken out into the air, and by blowing air to them as arrow marks show they are blow off and thus cap elements 14 are obtained. The cylindrical closed tips 15 of these elements 14 are cut off and required insulating caps 16 are completed. By so doing, insulating caps for connecting planar heat genertors and lead wires can be manufactured appropriately.
