Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress an instantaneous voltage drop of a generator low at a load throwing in time by providing an intermediate tap in an armature winding and by connecting a load to this tap only at a time throwing in a load.
CONSTITUTION: Providing intermediate taps in an armature winding, a load 10 is connected to each output terminal 3-8 through switches 9a-9c. Also an output voltage is detected by a voltage detecting device 13 through transformers 11 and a switch 12 and feed back to a voltage controlling device 14. A voltage controlling device 14 controlls a field winding 15 according with the feed back quantities. At a time of a load thrown in switches 9a-9c are connected to terminals 3,5,7 and after starting of a load 10(motors etc.) are connected to terminals 4,6,8. By doing in this manner, as intermediate taps are used as output terminals at a load throwing in time, a transient reactance becomes small and an instantaneous voltage drop of a generator can be suppressed low.
