Abstract
PURPOSE: To allow maintenance, such as, the exchange of a sensor for early detecting the minute leakage of water in a steam generator of a fast breeder reactor cooled by sodium even during the operation of the reactor, in a detector provided with said sensor.
CONSTITUTION: A fixed quantity of sodium sampled from a main piping 1 by adjusting an electromagnetic pump 4 is heated at fixed temp by means of an economizer 5 and a heater 6, sent to a H2 detector sensor portion containing an outer cylinder 7 of a H2 detector, measured about H2 concn. at the sensor portion and returned into the main piping 1 through a duct 15. In this case, a Ni film sensor 8 in said sensor portion is exchanged in such a manner that sodium in the sensor portion is drained to a tank 21 by closing valves 3, 14, by opening valves 19, 20 and by opening a valve 11 while feeding Ar gas to a vapor trap 12 and the valves 19, 20 are closed.
