Abstract
PURPOSE: To realize a detection for the degree of leak of the process pipeline system, by giving a comparison arithmetic between the drop rate of water level within the nuclear reactor pressure vessel and the signal sent from the break flow rate setter which operates on the signal supplied from the elbow flow rate meter.
CONSTITUTION: The high-temperature water in the nuclear reactor pressure container 2 is taken outside the reactor storing container 5 via the pipes 3, 4, 8 and 10, valves 6 and 7, pump 9 and elbow flow rate meter 19 each, and then sent back to the container 2 via the pipes 10 and 13 plus valves 14 and 15 after the heat exchange via the heat exchanger 11. Thus a process loop is formed. Then the water- level detector 23 is provided into the container 2 to monitor the water level, and the drop rate of the water level is obtained by the drop rate setter 24. Then the degree (large, medium and small) of the leak is indicated by the value of the drop rate of water level and the signal supplied from the break flow rate setter 24 which operates on the signal sent from the meter 19.
