Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively start wind mills at low wind velocity, and to efficiently turn them at high wind velocity, by shaping an angle of mounting a wing to a rotary plane of the wing in a variable form.
CONSTITUTION: A hub 3 is mounted to a power shaft 1 connected to a wind mill generaor 2 in a revolution-free shape. A projection 4 is installed to an inner portion of one flank of the hub 3. Since a wind mill does not generate rotary torque when there is no wind, the hub 3 is adjusted to ensure that a wing 8 is located at an angle of mounting the wing to a rotary plane by the action of a spring 5. When wind velocity is formed, the wind mill starts its revolution while the power shaft 1 is subject to rest force of preventing the revolution of the wind mill by the braking force of the generator 2, thus resulting in the starting of the relative revolution of the power shaft 1 and the hub 3 against the action force of the spring 5, then turning a wing shaft 9 until a pin 6 and the projection 4 contact. Thus, the wing 8 is automatically adjusted at asmall angle of mounting the wing to the rotary plane.
