Abstract

PURPOSE: To contrive the improvement of the effect of straightening, by installing the turn table contacting with the tip of flange of the straightened material, in the lower part of the vertical roll of the roller straightener, on purpose to prevnet the twist of the straightened material depending on the feed-in worked by the vertical roller, and by applying the bending moment loaded on the straightened material as the straightening force.
CONSTITUTION: Now the steel sheet-pile is taken as the object of the straightening work; in the lower part of the vertical roller 3 contacting with the side plane of the flange of the strainghtened material 4, the turn table 5 is installed concentrically with this roller axis so as to contact the lower part against the tip of the flange; the twist in the straightened material 4 depending on the feed-in by the vertical roller 3 is prevented by supporting with the table 5; the bending moment loaded on the straightened material 4 is applied as the straightening force; hereby, the effect of straightening against the bend in the left and right sides of the straightened material 4 can be improved.
