Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a racket wherein a glass fiber and a carbon fiber are used in combination as a reinforcing fiber thereby to simultaneously manifest characteristics of both fibers and attempt to improve the ball hitting function.
CONSTITUTION: In a racket frame 1 in which a frame ball hitting part 2, a neck part 3 and a shaft portion 4 are continuously formed in an integral body, the core part is formed by a core material 5 of a foaming synthetic resin, and the outer peripheral surface of the core material 5 is of a box-shape sectional structure formed by a FPR outer shell reinforcing layer 6. The FPR outer shell reinforcing layer 6 is constituted by a glass fiber 7a consisting of a roving or a roving cloth and a carbon fiber 7b. The fiber arrangement of the glass fiber 7a is provided along the peripheral and longitudinal direction X, and the fiber arrangement of the carbon fiber 7b is provided along the frame width derection and ball hitting direction Y along the gut stretching derection perpendicular to the fiber arranging direction of the glass fiber 7a.
