Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize high percision, continuous analysis of NH3 in exhaust gas as NO, by selecting catalyst and its optimum using condition, in a denitration system depending on NH3 selective reduction method.
CONSTITUTION: The sample gas from a gas inlet 1 is passed into NO analytical meter 7 by changeover cock 2 through bypass route 5, and only NO is measured. Then, the gas flow path is changed to NO2/NO converter 4, where NO2 in the gas is converted into NO, and the sum of NO2 and NO is measured. Finally, the sample gas is put into NH3/NO converter 3, and passes through granular catalyst which preferably carries Pt by about 1 to 3 wt. % and is heated to 650 to 900°C, at a space velocity of 30000 to 200000 Hr-1. The gas of which NH3 and NO2 are both converted into NO is rid of moisture by moisture remover 6, and the sum of HN3, NO2, and NO is measured by the analytical meter 7. As a result of three operations above, HN3, NO2, and NO may be determined respectively.
