Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electro-working soln. by which discharge is stably generated, making defficient working possible, by treating raw water with an ion exchanger to remove Cl ions and mixing a conductivity regulator according to use. CONSTITUTION:Raw water such as city water is treated with an anion exchanger or an ion exchanger based on an anion exchanger to adjust the specific resistance to about 10<5> OMEGAcm. To the water are then added a rust inhibitor and a predetermined amt. of a conductivity regulator such as acids other than chlorine ions, e.g. NO3, SO4, PO4, CH3CO2 and COOH, or bases, e.g. KOH, NaOH, Ca(OH)2 and NH4(OH) according to each working purose such as discharge working or wire cutting. since chlorine ions are never mixed into the working soln., formation of etch pits is reduced at the time of working, resulting in stable efficient electro-working.
