Abstract
PURPOSE: To promote an equalization of cross-linking degree, by holding a cable, made coating by a polyolefine admixture with a cross-linking agent included, at a specific temperature till a temperature of insulation layer comes to be at an even level, subsequently by heating the cable to above a decomposition temperature of the cross-linking agent to process a cross-linking.
CONSTITUTION: A cable, made extrusion coating by a polyolefine admixture compounded with an organic peroxide as a cross-linking agent, is held at above an extrusion temperature of polyolefine and below a decomposition temperature of the cross-linking agent until an insulation layer comes to be at a uniform temperature, subsequently is heated to above the decomposition temperature of the cross-linking agent, being processed a cross-linking. For instance,the cable, made extrusion coating by a polyethylene insulation material of 12 mm thickness compounded with 2.0 pt. dicumil peroxides, after being kept at a temperature of 140 to 150°C, is heated to a temperature of 180°C, with a cross-linking processed. In such way, with a less delay of temperature rise provided in inner layer of the insulation layer, a cable can be provided with a degree of cross-linking being high and radially uniform.
