Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain good quality sihtered ore with the consumption of much less energy by supplying fixed energy in the form of a high temperature gas in the two- stage sintering fuel charging method in the fixed zone of a sintering machine.
CONSTITUTION: The high temperautre waste gas from the sintered ore cooler 7 is introduced by the duct 5 to the sintering raw material layer 2 through the branch tube 4 and then the hood 3 covering a zone corresponding to 1/4 to 3/4 of the sintering machine length. The gas is sucked from the window box under reduced pressure. The amount of energy supplied from the waste gas is regulated so as to match with an energy corresponding to the difference between fuel amount to be supplied to the upper layer and fuel amount to be supplied to the lower layer in the two-stage sintering suel charging method.
