Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the variable resistance which can be varied by the electric signal as well as to miniaturize and integrate the variable resistance. CONSTITUTION:Fixed resistance 11, 12 ... plus switching element 11, 12 ... are connected to terminal 10 and 10' as shown in the diagram. And switching element 11', 12' ... are composed of the component which is controlled by the electric signals of the relay, transistor and the like. As a result, a variable resistance circuit can be obtained with use of no mechanical parts. The pulse signal is used as control input signal 17 and counted through counter circuit 16, and the switching element is selected via multiplexer 15. For instance, in case the number of the input pulse is ''1'', element 11' is turned on; while element 12' is turned on in the case of 2 pulses. Thus, the resistance value proportional to the input pulse number can be obtained between terminal 10 and 10'.
