Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a simple means of removing foreign matters from contaminated fine sand and also to clean fine sand by pressurizing contaminated sand, etc and jetting them from nozzle to be hit against an object.
CONSTITUTION: A nozzle 2, a jet-receiving object 3 arranged with a distance in the nozzle jetting direction and a pressuring device 4 for applying pressure to fine sand contaminated by foreign matters such as clay, etc are to constitute the principal parts of this device. Fine sand containing such a foreign matter as clay, etc which is to be separated and washed away are provided with water to be turned into slurry state, pressurized by a slurry pump 7 and then jetted from the nozzle 2 against a jet- receiving board 6. By impact energy caused at the time when the jet hit the board 6, fine sand and foreign matter contained in the slurry are dispersed, segregated and dropped. This principle can also be utilized for the dry process in which clay- containing sand are jetted from a nozzle by the compressed air.
