Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the scattering of water fur, and to improve the collecting efficiency, by means of removing the water fur while the fuel assembly is ejecting by a high pressure water in a sealed vessel, and of collecting and disposing the removed fur by a filter.
CONSTITUTION: A vessel 1 for water fur removing is arranged on a pool bottom 5 of the pool for radioactivity attenuation of a fuel assembly 10, and the fuel assembly 10 is hanged by a rotary mechanism 8 of the vessel 1. After the pool water in the vessel being removed, water fur is removed by means of ejecting a high pressure water to the fuel assembly 10 by a jet gun 12 at the same time as when the fuel assembly 10 is allowed to be rotated. The removed water fur can be collected by a filter 14 by means of driving a water exhaust pump 13.
