Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the subject treating method comprising burning radioactive wastes, and solidifying or hardening gaseous wastes and burnt residues.
CONSTITUTION: Liquid wastes 1a whose solid parts are removed by a sedimentation tank 2 and a solid -liquid separator 5 are introduced into a burner reactor 8. The condensed water of burnup gas is separated by a gas-liquid separating tank 2, and non-condensed burnup gas is sent from a line 13 to a solidification section 15. The solidification section 15 consists of towers 15a - 15d, and 16, and purifies the burnup gas. On the other hand, solid parts from the sedimentation tank 2 and solid-liquid separator 5 are stored in a storage tank 17, and thereafter burnt up together with coarse wastes of animal and vegetable bodies sent from the line b in a solid burner reactor 19. The burnup residue is collected to a storage tank 23 together with condensed water from the gas-liquid separating tank 12 and sent to a solidification device 25, and cement 26 is mixed in the residue, and the residue is solidified.
