Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an ignition apparatus with low-loss and high-output which substantially satisfies performances required for an oil burner, wherein a tertiary winding equipped to an ignition transformer or high voltage step-up transformer is effectively functioned.
CONSTITUTION: In the present ignition apparatus, a LC resonance circuit is provided which comprises a charge and discharge condenser 7 and a primary winding 9 of high voltage step-up transformer 8, and a switching semiconductor element SCR 15 is placed in one position of the LC circuit for switching the charge and discharge condenser 7 to charge or discharge it. In this ignition apparatus, the high voltage setp-up transformer which has a secondary winding 10 connected to electrodes 13a, 13b for generating sparks is further provided with a tertiary winding 11 which is systematically connected to be positively fed back to a primary winding 9. In a period when electric charges in the charge and discharge condenser 7 are discharged through the element SCR 15, adjusting current is passed through the closed circuit comprising the tertiary winding 11 and switching semiconductor circuit SCR 15.
